Carriage Shed
Planning Permission has at last been granted for the new carriage shed. Construction will start in the spring.
Defibrillator
Thanks to the generosity of members the defibrillator fund reached its target and the machine is now installed in the clubroom. On January 24th thirteen Club members attended a training course in the clubhouse given by Garry Perkins. Garry is a provider of first aid training courses and a qualified paramedic (www.dentalfirstaidtraining.com). All those who attended found the course extremely educative and are now capable of using the defibrillator if the need should arise.

Track Maintenance
John Elsworth and the Wednesday Gang have been working enthusiastically over the last couple of months on maintaining the track with the section of the outer loop from the tunnel to the clubhouse receiving the major attention. The steel base has been repainted with welded repair to some areas of corrosion. The rail has been replaced together with a significant number of sleepers. The maintenance programme will see work on the outer loop continue to the level access before the new running season.
